Der Anfang war problematisch, ein Nachbar musste bis 22:30 wegen des Schlüssels auf uns warten, da dieser nicht, wie in der Anzeige angegeben, in einer Box mit Code zugänglich war. Das Haus hat uns gut gefallen. Besonders wie sauber alles war! Unser Hauptwunsch ging in Erfüllung: die Nordlichter tanzten über den Himmel. Wir hatten sogar ein paar Mal Glück. Die Insel ist interessant, jetzt im Oktober bunt gefärbt mit dem Blick auf die schroffen Schneegipfel ringsum. Spannend auch die Anlagen des Space-Centers. Einkaufen in Andenes ist kein Problem, leider gibt es keine Tourist-Info mehr. Eigentlich ist Oktober keine gute Reisezeit: das große Walbeobachtungsboot macht Pause (entgegen der Angaben auf deren homepage), die Rib-Boote fahren oft nicht, wegen zu hoher Wellen. Fantastische Wolken, Wellengischt und die wunderbare Landschaft haben uns entschädigt. Auch ist der herrliche Wintergarten mit dem spektakulären Rundum-Blick eher etwas für wärmere Monate.

We loved staying in the house and fell in love with the view out of the window of the upper floor. We could even see the midnight sun from the balcony. Everything was clean and it was very quiet. Also the surrounding offers many wonderful views, hiking baths and wonderful beaches. Waralak was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed very much being her guests. Thank you very much for being with you! It was super great 😁

Excellent séjour dans la jolie maison à Andenes . La maison est spacieuse, très bien située , près des plages et des sentiers de randonnée. Magdelena est très proactive et notre séjour a été parfait !

Wow! What a wonderful stay. This is our favourite place to stay in Norway that we have visited many times. Halvard and Eva are extremely friendly, gracious, helpful and thoroughly wonderful people. We feel privileged to have met them. The view from their place is superb. There are so many beautiful sights in Senja with a plus that it is not overcrowded with tourists. We spotted reindeer several times, frozen lakes, beautiful fjords and craggy peaks. The accommodation is very spacious with lovely views from many windows. The kitchen is well set up. Theree are interesting decorations that add character. We enjoyed interesting conversations with them and were treated to delicious cloudberries with yoghurt. Thank you Eva and Halvard for a magnificant stay.

Leiligheten var pen og ren. Alt av nødvendige elementer var i leiligheten. Den ligger i hjertet på Bleik. Det eneste var at det kunne vært bedre møbler på verandaen.

House of Hulda is tucked away in a dune area near several beaches, is aesthetically beautiful renovated and decorated and has a spectacular 360 degree view. The peaceful atmosphere around the house is soothing. The energy in the house is so calm and light, and it was neat and clean. And equipped with everything you need for a carefree stay. The small community is very friendly! Andoya is like no other island, with sometimes four seasons passing by in one day and endless sea-sunsets this time of year. There are countless hiking opportunities nearby. The communication with host Mariëll was helpful and very pleasant. I had a very mindful time with my dogs and I simply will miss this place so much!

Within ~1 year, this place got 20 five-star reviews. The only reason it hasn't crossed 50 is: Sortland is less popular than mainland Lofoten. The place is not only handled with, but also designed with utmost care. Originally built in 1934, every corner of it carries a meaning that not even an unwatchful guest can ignore. There is family heritage, and there is just the right amount of it. That's where the comfort begins. Living room is smaller than its photos. But with modern furniture & a smart TV, you never run out of indulgence. Kitchen & barbecue hut are well-equipped with utensils and tools for all types of cooking. Bedrooms are comfy, and just right for the cosy cuddles. The grassy, lush outside with a private beach is kept free of bugs by hosts. You can't get enough of the hot tub under starry/green sky! The best part is the proactive hosts who promply fulfill all unmet needs. The house, with all its warmth, keeps luring you. A tough fight against luscious Lofoten!
