Lovely place in amazing surroundings. Really special place to relax, and incredible views. One of the favourite airbnb stays. They have made this house a lovely space off the main track. If you come in the winter do bring a 4x4 as it’s at the top of an incline.

Simple a fantastic place to stay. Everything was in great condition, spacious and tidy. The beds were super comfortable. Nature is stunning and lot of interesting places to visit close to the house. Higly recommend.

This is by far one of the best Airbnb’s I have stayed in. The host had everything that you could possibly need plus some things that I didn’t expect (international plugs). She was fast to answer questions and friendly.

Loved our stay in this beautiful home. It was toasty warm with lovely outlooks and space yo relax while still feeling part of the beautiful scenery. The house was well equipped. The host was very responsive when we needed some help to work the hot tub.

Lovely cottage with amazing views. Cottage was clean, cozy, and exactly what we were looking for. Comfy beds and couch. Loved the covered hot tub - we had windy/rainy evenings, so it was nice to soak while having some weather protection! There is a large windowed sliding door you can open as well to let in cool air in. Host was friendly and communicative, check-in and check-out were very easy. Other pros - there’s a cute restaurant onsite, and we didn’t use them, but also laundry facilities. We’d definitely stay again!

we spent three nights in a very pleasant accommodation close to many sites. it is very well equipped, quiet and we were able to see northern lights from the sofa through the glass windows of the living room. we highly recommend this accommodation! thank you for the welcome and the ideas for visits nearby!

The place was nice and big. It was one of the few places in Iceland that had four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Lots of space to spread out and relax. Great view from the house. Easy to find, and off-street parking. Lots of room for the money. Just be aware that the house looked like someone was living there. By that I mean there were clothe in the closet, shoes in the entry way, and food in the refrigerator and freezer. It wasn't an issue for us, but some people don't like that. I would definitely rent from her again.

We spent two nights at the cabin. It exceeded all our expectations. The house has all the equipment described. The hot tub made a difference. In the middle of nature, well kept and clean. The host is communicative and polite. We would repeat.

I can only offer superlatives describing my experience with Helga and her wonderful apartment. I felt right at home, and had everything I needed and more. Peace and quiet, privacy, comfort, beauty of the area, the list goes on and on. Helga has been a wonderful and helpful host. Thank you so much for helping me relax and have a fantastic time!

We had a fantastic time at Straumnes cabins. The cabins are very peaceful, and in a beautiful setting on the lake. We were spending a couple of days doing the golden circle and South coast and the cabin was perfectly located for this. The communication was great, the cabin was well equipped with everything we needed, and lovely and warm. Many thanks to our host for a great stay. We would highly recommend the cabin for family's exploring the golden circle that want a peaceful stay in the countryside.

The cabin was a peaceful retreat in Fluðir! Close to Minilik and the mineral baths, with a well equipped kitchen. We had one small issue with check-in (our fault), and Asa very quickly helped to resolve it.

Hidden gem! Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location, equipped with everything you need. The outdoor tub with a view of the valley is a marvel! Very kind host who welcomed us personally and very willing to provide information about the area. At the center of the “Golden Circle”. A great restaurant nearby (Hvönn) and numerous stables. 2 hours from Landmannalaugar (unmissable). Trust me, don't hesitate to book. Undoubtedly the best accommodation in 3 weeks in Iceland!

This place was ah-mazing! So peaceful and such much to do nearby! We loved our time there and highly recommend it to those who want to peace and tranquility while in Iceland!
