A short boat ride to goat island where there are sandy beaches great for swimming and exploring. very cute cozy cabin with nice front porch for enjoyment. charcoal grill & fire pit for roasting hotdogs and smores kids can pitch a tent to get real camping experience. Paddle boat for small pond (for bunkhouse guests only), firepit, bbq pit, griddle, walking distance to river. Fishing pond catch and release. With 2400sf of indoor living space & a 640sf covered back porch there is plenty of space for several families. The Lodge is nestled on 11 private wooded acres adjacent to Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area in the Davy Crockett National Forest which offers fishing, swimming, picnicking, and hiking for a small entrance fee.

This is not a place to exert a lot of energy unless you'd like to visit my firewood splitting department. (I may knock a few dollars off the price if you do!) Owners house is next door, Grill, smoker, fire pit, and additional outdoor shower. Pond is stocked with perch. Beautiful walking trails. Golf cart is onsite but availability may be limited. Little Pine Cabin is located in a quaint compound on the shores of Lake Sam Rayburn, but conveniently situated to visit Lufkin (18 miles), Huntington (15 miles) and Nacogdoches (20 miles). The cabin has beautiful views of the lake and complete access to our expansive shoreline. Please note this is an open concept cabin. There are walls but no doors.

The cabin is a private little house on a corner lot with a view of pine, oak, and cedar trees, but is also on the corner of two highways, making it safe and convenient to all locations in Lufkin. There is traffic noise. The oldest town in Texas, Nacogdoches, is 17 miles away and is an easy commute from here. The largest lake in Texas, Sam Rayburn, is a 25-minute drive.
