A little AC gem for 2-3 people in a small gated community in a small city outside the big city. VERY safe, time-controlled gym and pool, safe outside gated community to run, close-by neighborhood grocery stores, ice cream shop, bar food, AM bread shop, and a hidden coffee field across the entry gate! The city center is a 5 min drive or 30 min down/up hill stroll away. The heartbeat of every CR city is the church with an active park and thriving food scene. Our trip was a National Holiday for Semana Santa (Holy Week, Easter). So the park was filled with people, soccer, vendors, and a crucifixion scene for reenactment. Its all close to the apartment. The bigger city with the best futbol team, Heredia! is about 15 min drive away. Dont get bogged down in San Jose! Stay in a quiet, gated, clean, safe area with AC and a pool! 15 min to highway for Volcan Poas or Jaco beaches.

What an amazing place. Great hosts, quick to reply and address anything needed. I love the house and all the amenities it has. We barely left the house.

El lugar sobrepasa las expectativas y esta muy bien equipado. Las camas super cómodas. También nos gusto que el lugar es silencioso. Marvera fue super amable en todo momento y estuvo pendiente de nosotras. Algunas llegamos antes y nos permitio hacer early checking. También nos dejó una canasta con café y dulces. Como recomendación para las personas que deseen quedarse que deben tener Internet al llegar porque para abrir la casa es por medio de una aplicación. Volveremos sin dudarlo.

Andres has been very accommodating and we love the place. The little bar on the corner has excellent carne nachos. The hardware store is very handy to have so near and deliveries from local establishments have been quick. Being here in the rainy season I love to sit on the porch and watch the rainfall.

We had our baby shower here and it was absolutely perfect! From the start, the host was incredibly responsive and kind, making everything feel smooth and stress-free. The space was beautiful, with breathtaking views and a warm, welcoming vibe that made the day feel magical. The AC was wonderfully cold—such a blessing in the Costa Rican heat! We’re so grateful to have celebrated such a special moment in such an amazing place. Truly unforgettable! Every detail exceeded our expectations—from the peaceful atmosphere to the cozy setup that made our guests feel right at home. The love and joy we felt that day will stay with us forever. It was everything we dreamed of and more. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to gather with family and friends to welcome our baby with so much love and laughter.

The most amazing view we got to see in Costa Rica, over lush mountains all the way to the Pacific Ocean!!! The accommodation was exactly as pictured, very new and super clean. The pool areas is very pleasant and the hosts were extremely friendly!

The property was unbelievable. The house, the pool, the views… wow! The kids literally lived in the pool. The area itself is off the beaten track in the best possible way—surrounded by lush, untouched rainforest with scarlet macaws flying overhead daily. You’re a short drive from the ocean and crocodile tours on the Tárcoles River, yet far removed from the crowds. It felt like we were seeing the real Costa Rica. There are some great, low-key food spots nearby, and the overall vibe was so much more authentic and grounded than the overly touristy feel we got in Monteverde. One of the highlights was the intimate dinner prepared by Cecelia—homemade, delicious, and shared like you were part of the family. This place and these hosts made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. We’re already talking about coming back

Kathia’s place is a great option if you are visiting Atenas. The house is in an amazing property with its own tiny lake with koi fishes. Kathia is a great host, super welcoming and makes you feel like you are family.

Sehr schöne Aussicht. Pool, Whirlpool und Außenküche super. Klare Empfehlung. Vorsicht bei der Fahrt nach Bajos del Torro! Entweder gleich Andrew fragen, wie man die 2km Steigung umfahren kann oder ein Mietauto mit genug Power mieten, das die Steigung schafft. Wir haben die drei Tage sehr entspannt verbracht. Danke!

Great house . Great housekeeper . Friendly and nice people. Lots of room to roam . Loved it and planning to come back end of July if it is not rented. Great communication too. And very private .

This villa was absolutely breathtaking and everything my family and I needed to unwind, refresh and relax after the new year! We loved every single aspect of the house from the comfortable bedding, the well stocked kitchen, the relaxing jacuzzi with the amazing views, private balconies for us to unwind privately and let me not even get started on the outdoor showers. If you've never taken one - book this house NOW! It is unmatched. We traveled to CR with my parents, husband and 2 year old and everyone lived their best lives. Anne-Caroline was great with her communication leading up to the trip. Oscar, the in country host was amazing for knowing exactly where to take us to eat, see animals, which beaches to visit and more. He drove us around safely and shared a ton of local knowledge with us. We will absolutely be returning to this villa in the near future and cannot wait! Thank you Anne-Caroline and Oscar for the wonderful hospitality.

What a beautiful home! This place is equipped, detailed, clean, comfortable and maintained. The views are endless. The nights are gorgeous. We spent the majority of our time on the back patio and in the pool. The outdoor shower was amazing. Francisco, the caretaker, was also just so fabulous. He was so helpful and just precious. It was just myself and my best friend, two females, and we felt very safe. They had very comfortable beds, sheets, pillows, towels, linens in general. My best friend and I felt right at home. Probably one of the most comfortable well equipped homes that I’ve stayed in. Definitely the cleanest. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. Looking forward to the air-conditioning in the upper bedrooms!

Truly an amazing experience in Costa Rica! —this was my first time in Costa Rica, and it was absolutely beautiful! The nature, the mountain and lake views, everything was just stunning. It was the best 5 days I could’ve spent. The host was wonderful—she and her boyfriend were always happy to help whenever we needed anything. They gave us great recommendations on where to go and explore. They are very helpful. The house is exactly as shown in the pictures—totally private, peaceful, and incredibly comfortable. I felt so much peace and relaxation the whole time. Highly recommended!
