Idyllic Wooded Ring of Kerry retreat - Super Views

Colin & LindseyRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Toms place was so idyllic. Lots of space!. The views are amazing and the house is very comfortable. We enjoyed his books and the piano. We cooked serval times and had everything we needed. The friends we rented the house with made a mistake at the house and he was very patient and kind with us when he could have been very grumpy. My daughter had a very comfortable and lovely crib. The bed, pillows, sheets and blankets were all so comfortable and new. I wish we spent less time driving and more time in the house. We left and all said we could stay a few more days. The location is great to reach lots of sights for the ring of Kerry and to fly in and out of the airports. Don’t think, just book! Worth every single penny.

Great location for exploring waterville, valentia island, port magee, derrynane beach. The house is a short drive to waterville where they are lots of pubs & restaurants. The view from the living room in the house is amazing, I would of sat there all day! ❤️ Paul provided lots of information before our stay which was very handy and communication was smooth throughout. Defo recommend!

No 2 Clock Tower Lodge, Leap, West Cork

AliRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful stay here, surrounded with hills and a quick drive to many little walks, the coast, interesting towns and about 1.5h from areas further afield such as the Ring of Kerry or Mizzen Head. The space itself is comfortable and clean, and was perfect for our visit (us + 2 young kids + 2 elderly parents) — being able to let the kids play outside is a real gift. Hot tub gets nice and hot and was a great treat to end the day. Thank you Marcella for a wonderful stay, and for being so responsive and helping us with a few of the bits we needed / had forgotten at home! Xx

Great place to stay for vising West Cork. A bit isolated so driving was a must but very peaceful and the stars are amazing at night. The wifi and phone reception were the only slight issues and they didn't really impact anything. Will definitely come back again. Pat was lovely too and really easy to deal with.

Apartment in woodworking workshop, sauna, pool

ChristofRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely stay at Nina & Noel’s place! Even though the place was small, it was cozy and nicely decorated with wooden carvings by Noel. We met Noel when we arrived, and he was very attentive and open. Noel and Nina were very quick to respond if we had any questions or needed anything. Noel was always up for a chat and tips for local activities. The apartment is nice and quiet, with lovely views of the surrounding valley, and a short drive away from Bantry. The sauna was great as well after a long day of hiking. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend Nina and Noel’s place if you’re looking for a quiet, cosy holiday surrounded by nature and friendly people! (And two outside cats) 🐈‍⬛🌳 Thank you Noel and Nina for a wonderful stay!

Perfect, Perfect, Perfect. What more can I say about our accommodation. We were greeted Mireia with a wonderful smile and friendly welcome. The house is spacious and so clean. The view is spectacular and convenient to travel around Beara Circle. If you stay for a few days there is a book on the table about a very local character next to the lounge. When my husband read it we asked Stephen about the sites mentioned in the book and he directed us to the spots. Stephen is very knowledgeable on the area especially if you are interested in ancient sites. We loved our stay.

What a gem of a find at John’s place. It was exactly as described but in addition the quality of the furnishings and quality of the kitchen appliances, crockery, cutlery was exceptional. John had clearly thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. He was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area, and was able to answer any questions we had. I was able to go out on the bay in his kayak and saw the seals. A lovely experience. If we return to this area again we will definitely be in touch to use Johns place again.

The place is all what we've expected and even more. We had such great time enjoying the rustic style, scenery and especially the possibility of getting a glimpse of farm life. The kids absolutely loved seeing the cows, how they are milked and playing with the calfs. The firepit and the playing area have been a great addition. Last but not least are the lovely hosts who were so welcoming and kind! We'll definitely go back.
