Vacation rentals with a washer and dryer in Barre Town

Bottom line: I would stay here again. The place is cozy and tidy. Carmin made obvious efforts to make the place welcoming. It’s a good location that’s removed from the congestion of the village center, but you can get there by car in 5 minutes. You can walk out the door and go for a hike. Water pressure in the shower is good. Carmin provides lots of local recommendations. Netflix readily available. Coffee and welcome snacks given. Heater heats up place quickly. If you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs as you can hear any car pass at night. The place is older, and as such has houseflies. They’re being managed, but it’s a little surprising at first. The place is clean. I didn’t find vent fans for the kitchen or bathroom, but there are windows close. The bed is fairly comfortable, on the softer side, but the pillows are noisy. The cookware is a little beat up (missing handles), but functional. We did not use the washer or dryer. Overall good stay.

Claudia's place was PERFECT! If you are looking to explore Hardwick this is the only way to do it, easy check in and check out and literally spackle dab in the middle of town! Did I mention it's right above one of the most amazing coffee shops, with a great space to work, people with and enjoy delicious homemade bake goods and breakfast sandwich! I also enjoyed positive pie and cork and fork! Thank you so much for everything, felt right at home!

We had the most fantastic stay with Sheila and Jeremy! The home was spotless and beautifully decorated. Sheila was a proactive and responsive communicator. But what stood out to us more than anything were the various thoughtful touches provided during our stay. We arrived late, after a long drive, and Sheila and Jeremy were there to meet us in person and help carry our bags inside. They had fresh muffins waiting and even left some snacks (cheese, crackers, grapes) in the fridge in case we hadn’t eaten dinner. They also provided coffee, tea, milk, honey, which was great in the mornings, and we so appreciated having access to the washer & dryer to do some laundry. Overall, we can’t say enough good things about our stay and we hope to return!

Great host, the space has everything you need and is walkable to local shops and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay!

We loved Tim’s apartment for our Stowe ski weekend. It was just as described and in a beautiful setting. Tim was also great to communicate with and very accommodating when we had some last minute changes to our plans. Will definitely stay here again on a return trip - highly recommend!

I was in town for an event and I was looking for a centrally-located spot to stay that would be walkable to both town and the event venue. This fit the bill! I didn't have a car, but parking would have been easy and it was very simple for people to pick me up and drop me off. The kitchen was a great bonus and helped me keep costs down on my trip by going to the grocery store rather than eating at restaurants for every meal. That said, there were many wonderful restaurants within walking distance!

We had a great time at Thomas’ Mansfield Suite. Very comfortable and well appointed. We found a binder with news articles regarding the history of the building, which was housed UVM’s outdoors club in the 60’s. We would absolutely rent again.

Had a great stay! Brought the split boards and enjoyed the property. Jon and Cathy take great care of the entire property making sure it is accessible even during a snowstorm. It was the perfect Vermont get away. We can’t wait to go back!

Loved this place. Everything was organized and hosts communicated well. The stair entry into this house is a small workout lol but the view is amazing. Seriously, private, quiet, fast Wifi and views were amazing.

One of the nicest houses that I’ve ever stayed at! Some friends and I had an incredible night sitting by the fire, and then a perfect morning making some breakfast in the incredible kitchen. Couldn’t recommend staying here enough!

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Ed's place in Waterbury! The house was cozy and clean, and nicely tucked away in the woods. While it was uncharacteristically rainy on the weekend we visited, the location was nonetheless gorgeous and very peaceful. Thanks to Ed's detailed instructions and recommendations, check-in was streamlined, and we were able to enjoy some of the local spots around Waterbury and Stowe. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Ed as a host!

This is my second time staying at one of Jess’s properties - and I’m sure it’s not my last. The property is beautiful inside and out and has everything you need. I was in town for a full week and this place was just what I needed to relax after long work days. I can’t recommend staying at one of Jess’s places enough. You won’t regret it!!

“Authentic” is a perfect description. No pretentious fussiness. A farmhouse that has witnessed generations of simple farm living. Quiet. Solid. Warm and inviting. If you’re looking to unwind and “unplug” (although it has seriously great WiFi) this is the place. Nestled in a breathtakingly beautiful valley on a quiet country road with a welcoming and attentive host Hillary. Comfy beds with plenty of cozy blankets, quilts and pillows. Great big farm kitchen. Spacious rooms flooded with natural light from tall windows. The large covered porch creates an additional gathering space to enjoy morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. We loved being able to walk to the farmstand literally right outside our door for fresh eggs and maple syrup for our breakfast!

We've stayed here several times and it has become a home away from home when visiting our daughter. We enjoy staying here because the place is so peaceful, clean, quiet and has all the comforts of home. This will continue to be our place of choice when visiting the area.

We could not have been any happier with this place. The listing did not do this place justice. Beds were comfortable, space was generous and kid amenities galore! The front room gets a little bit noisy at night with street traffic (nothing a deep sleeper or a noise machine can’t fix!) but other than that it was a very pleasant stay! I already hope to book again next Memorial Day! Thank you so much

Such a beautiful space and views. Very cozy and welcoming. Kitchen was amazing for such an intimate space, we were able to make several meals and weren’t missing a thing. Loved having the TV in the lower level so it was fun at night but not distracting during the day. Not a ton of amenities in town, so make sure to pack snacks and food for your trip. Will definitely come again.

Aarons’s place was the perfect home base for a visit to stowe and surrounding area. quite part of stowe, unbelievable views from the dining and rec room windows and minutes from everything. perfect place to come back to after a day of adventures !

Lovely place,just as described. River running out back,very peaceful and picturesque. Basia and Bradley communicated very well . They checked in at various times to make sure we had what we needed. Comfortable beds and very clean invironment. Thank you again for having us.

Cute little place that was a perfect location for our visit to Stowe. Walkable restaurants and stores and even the places we had to drive weren’t far either. The place was very clean and perfect for our group. Would definitely come again!

The condo was excelent. Plenty of space, clean, and well organized. The condo has lots of dishes, pots, pans, cups which made it easy to cook. The grill was in good condition and located perfectly on the balcony. Josh was very responsive and flexible. He gave very clear instructions and the expectations for checkout were very reasonable and easy to complete. Great place to book if you are bringing children and pets! Plenty of yard space for them to play. The location is a close to drive stowe for skiing and to ben and jerrys factory for a fun family acitivty. I highly recommend this location!!

Roxy was very responsive. very easy self check in. Great location in Smugglers Notch. loved that the kitchen was fully stocked!

This has become our favorite place to stay! Excellent host. Beautiful location and amenities. Clean as can be. Absolutely no complaints - highly recommend!
