Earlier this year, Marrickville was voted the 10th coolest neighbourhood in the world by Time Out. And this would be the coolest pad in that neighbourhood. It's a big space on the first floor of an old warehouse. Downstairs is a working art studio - The Bakehouse Studio Marrickville run by Lisa Hoelzl. The guests who love our place the most are the ones who like the idea of staying in a warehouse flat on top of a studio and engaging with our odd extended household and neighbourhood.

We stayed at Lisa’s house for 7 nights and found the home very functional, clean, and very close to shops, pubs, restaurants, chemists, BWS, Bardwell Park railway station, RSL club, and the gym. Lisa’s communication was excellent from the moment we booked and throughout our stay. A nice large fridge, efficient aircon in each room, modern washing machine and plenty of hot water. We loved being so close to the city. We stayed New Year's Eve and we waited no longer than 15 min for a train each way. Just the perfect location. A value for money stay. Thanks Lisa for being a great host.

Very clean and a nice quiet place. Good view of the City. Easy place to access and safe neighbourhood. Undercover guest parking - always 4-5 spare spots. William was a great host, left all the necessary info. Great place to stay for a working trip to Sydney.

Really enjoyed the property, really atmospheric and old Australian vibe to it. Convenient to two train stations and the rest of Sydney. Airport is also conveniently nearby. The house has lovely old features and lots of charm. Every amenity has been thought of, and really appreciated the washer dryer which was very helpful if you are travelling light. My only advisory is that it may not be suited to those less active/less able due to the stairs. But as a base to explore Sydney I feel it's a great AirBnB
