Fern Valley Forest View cottage is exactly as the name suggests. The cottage is located outside the rain forest with just a stream in between. The cottage is as private and isolated as it gets making it a perfect choice to disconnect from life and reconnect with nature. Periya also happens to be the "not so touristy" part of Wayanad and highly recommended for those who want to skip the noise of the crowd and be engulfed in the sounds of forest, rain, flowing stream, birds, insects and everything that nature has to offer. Sid is a great host, extremely responsivr and helped us right from making us feel at home to recommending some wonderful places to visit, with Gurukula Botanical Sanctuary being one of the biggest highlights which is just a short walk from the property. Looking forward to visiting the property once again sooner than soon.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful villa in Wayanad! The villa was spacious, impeccably clean, and had all the amenities we could ask for. The best part? The breathtaking views of the mountain ranges from every side—waking up to such picturesque scenery was truly magical. The meals were another highlight—each dish was delicious, homely, and made with so much care. It felt like dining in a traditional home kitchen! A special shoutout to the host and staff, who were incredibly warm, helpful, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Their generosity and hospitality made our trip even more memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better vacation and will definitely be back! I usually don’t write reviews or make recommendations, but this place truly deserves it. It turned out to be much better than I had imagined—from the beautiful surroundings to the thoughtful construction and design of the property, everything exceeded my expectations. If you’re caught up in a busy office schedule and looking for a peaceful retreat, this is the place to be. Stay for a few days, disconnect, relax, and just soak in the calm. It’s a perfect spot to reflect, recharge, or even spend time meditating. I’ve already recommended it to my friends and will definitely be visiting again!

It was an amazing place surrounded by jungle and nature. The food was amazing as well, the pork is must try!

This was an absolute lovely place to stay. Also the care taker was really helpful and always available. The food was very homely and damn delicious. Can't have any complaints. The property was bang on location. It felt so peaceful. No disturbance at all. I absolutely love this place. Would definitely recommend this place any number of times. Talking Trees is a true escape from the chaos of city life—a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. The setting is stunning: bamboo groves, paddy fields, and a serene riverside. Prema’s hospitality is warm and genuine, and the home-cooked food is outstanding. Our dog was as happy as we were - free to explore and relax. The space is beautifully designed and thoughtfully maintained, perfect for unwinding and reconnecting with nature. If you're looking to breathe, rest, and just be, this is the place.

This place is a adobe in its own world!! Absolutely beautiful, serene, and calm. The property is itself surrounded with nature and has maintained its raw essense of the earth. Someone looking to escape the chaos should definitely spend a night here. The three of us sisters spent 4 days there with utmost comfort of home and felt very warm and welcomed by Sandeep and Santosh (the hosts) followed by all the workers (Yalamma (someone you can almost picture your mother and sister in), Praveen (an amazing chef who cooked authentic tasty food), Junaid (got us comfortable within the space). Looking at them felt like a family together. The rooms were clean, with fresh linens and blankets provided. We took the woodpecker and that comes with a bathroom that's detached and downstairs. Definitely hygiene maintained. So, folks should definitely check with the host before booking. The river is a must that you should visit along with certain beautifully set platforms overlooking the nature.

My family and I (including our two curious cats, Bow and Yoongi) had an absolutely delightful stay at the villa... From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how beautifully the property was maintained. Location is excellent as we never had to travel very far to go to any tourist attractions. Our cats really enjoyed as they roamed safely in the enclosed yard, which can be tricky sometimes. Breakfast each morning was a treat with yummy home food. Especial thanks to Yathee who went above and beyond—providing local tips and recommendations and checking in just enough to make sure we had everything we needed. We can’t recommend this place highly enough for anyone looking to explore Wayanad with family and pets...
