We loved our stay at Sandy's! Sandy was a wonderful host and although was unavailable in person during our stay she was very responsive and extremely helpful over message, and her parents were very friendly and welcoming! The place is absolutely beautiful and we would love to stay again soon. Sandy also recommended a driver we used a few times throughout our stay who we also recommend. Thank you!

The friendliest hosts. I was welcomed with ginger tea and pancakes. This was just the perfect spot for me, close to the train station and the town. Renuka showed me through the garden, all the herbs and fruits they grow. it is lovely hearing th birds and the squirrels outside in the garden.

Absolutely loved our 2-night stay at Villa Joy! We're a Dutch couple and from the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The scenic tuktuk ride through tea fields (booked via Villa Joy) was bumpy at the end, but totally worth it — the mountain views are breathtaking. Waking up to birdsong and coffee on the terrace felt magical. The cooking class with Sakura and her warm team was a true highlight — fun, hands-on, and super tasty! The room was clean, peaceful, and beautifully decorated with flowers. Excellent communication before and during our stay made everything easy. We left feeling recharged and cared for. Highly recommend this little slice of paradise!

Beautiful view. Amazing room, opening window, hammock and balcony with a stunning view of the bridge. Could sit all day looking out. Lovely breakfast served to the room. We were contacted the morning of our stay to arrange tuktuk transport up as hideout Ella is in a very remote road and quite dangerous for driving to. There are no other hotels/tourist places on the same street and could be hard to find if you were alone- but the staff are constantly available to arrange their own tuktuk service to/from Ella centre and will come out to pick up from the town until 10pm. Downsides: Poor sleep, not soundproof- very noisy, dog barking all night and any trains passing can be heard. The curtains are very thin and 2 walls are floor length windows so the light shines into the room early in the morning - take eye masks and earplugs. The room is a bit more dated than it appears in the pics with stained curtains. Highly recommend-suggest a 1 night stay here & 2+ nights elsewhere in Ella centre

Wir können uns den vielen positiven Bewertungen nur anschließen. Auf Fotos kommt der atemberaubende Ausblick aus dieser Unterkunft gar nicht richtig zur Geltung. Wir haben so gerne einfach nur da gesessen und den Ausblick genossen - bei Regen war es am schönsten! Die Unterkunft ist wie beschrieben ausgestattet. Aufgrund der Lage in der Natur hatten wir diverse tierische Besucher, aber damit war zu rechnen. Ein weiteres Highlight war das Frühstück, welches wir morgens in die Unterkunft gebracht bekommen haben. Alles war sehr liebevoll angerichtet! Sanjee selber ist ein super Vermieter, er hat uns viele Tipps gegeben, uns aus der Stadt abgeholt, uns zu einem Kochkurs gefahren und freundlicherweise unser Tuktuk das erste Stück des Berges hochgefahren. Wir würden diese Unterkunft immer wieder buchen!

Wir wurden direkt herzlich empfangen & hatten das Familienzimmer mit toller Aussicht auf die Landschaft. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich & kommunikativ. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker & große Portionen. Zu Fuß an den Bahngleisen entlang sind es nur 5 Minuten in die Stadt. Da es direkt am Weg liegt, kann es natürlich morgens lauter werden, wenn die Fahrzeuge vorbei fahren.

Wir waren für 2 Nächte hier und hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber, hat eine große Dusche mit Shampoo und Duschgel, nur der Wasserdruck ist etwas wenig. Wir kamen im strömenden Regen an, die Gastgeberin hat sofort ein Tuktuk organisiert, das uns hoch zum Haus gefahren hat. Der Regen ist auf dem Dach des Zimmers sehr laut zu hören, was uns aber gar nicht gestört hat. Auch hört man immer wieder ein paar Tiere über das Dach springen. Auch für unsere Weiterfahrt sehr früh am Morgen hat uns der Gastgeber ein TukTuk organisiert. Er war immer sehr hilfsbereit. Ella ist problemlos mit Tuktuk in ca. 6 Minuten zu erreichen.
