The owner was very nice 🙏 i made a few requests and she did not hesitate/made second thoughts in approving them. I was very thankful 🩷 the unit was very spacious and spotless! Location is very accessible to restaurants, bakeshop, etc. And she was Very responsive too. Highly recommended airBnb when you visit Dumaguete 💯💯💯

A hidden jewel: Joy's Garden Guest House

CristinaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Our stay at Joy's was great. We felt right at home. It is a great space with a pretty big guest house to do everything you want to in. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals yourself and the house is furnished well with couch and table. It's also easy to work there, especially as they have solar energy with a battery as backup storage, their own water well and pump for water supply and satellite internet. We never experienced any disruptive outages because of that. Joy was always available and helpful in person or via message, when we had questions. The secluded location accessible by a rough but drivable road ensures very peaceful living, especially since there are no roosters nearby. You will hear some dogs, goats and birds, nothing which disturbed our stay. There is a motorbike for rent for a good price. The pool is a welcome way to cool off. Just be careful not cut to yourself at some sharper edges. We want to return, as soon as there is availability again :)

Deluxe Double Room(71% Diving Resort)

DanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The resort is very nice and the room is new construction and nicely designed. There is a rooftop deck, a nice pool, and you can swim in the ocean even though there’s no beach. The WiFi is very good from the outdoor restaurant but you only get a few bars in the room. The bed is very comfortable and there were no bugs in the room The resort seems to be Chinese owned which was not a problem for us
An expansive terrace features bamboo railings, offering unobstructed views of the lush greenery surrounding the cabin. A blue outdoor table sits prominently, accompanied by a cushioned seating area. Natural light filters through the opening, creating a bright and inviting space for relaxation.

Valencia Neg. Oriental bamboo house, Philippines

PaulRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The setting of this house is spectacular, with incredible views down the mountain, across the sea to Siquijor island. The design of the house is also very interesting, made as it is of earth and bamboo. The house is probably best experienced if you give it some time, and enter into its timezone and relation to nature and the locality: you need to be ready to rough it a bit, and make friends with the insects. It's really off the beaten path, so you have a good sense of getting away from it all, although the road there is not hard to ride (on a scooter). There's plenty of places to eat in Valencia (10-15 mins ride), and the Apolong craft brewery is a gem to have pretty much round the corner (though only open Fri-Sun). A lot of Air BnB accomodation around Dumaguete/Valencia is quite generic and bland. This is a properly distinctive experience.
A bamboo swing is positioned under natural shade, overlooking a beach with gentle waves lapping the shore. Bright green foliage surrounds the space, while vibrant flowers add color against the sandy beachfront, inviting relaxation and connection with the coastal environment.

House by the sea

ShaunRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We really enjoyed our stay. As others had mentioned, the company of Oslo and Kirby, the two house dogs, was wonderful. We also really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and sitting area underneath the house as well as the large deck upstairs. There’s lots of good restaurants in Dauin and it’s really helpful to rent a scooter for the ~10 minute ride. For divers, Liquid Dive resort is directly next-door, which is very convenient. We would definitely stay again.
