This is our best stop while traveling in Portugal. The house has everything you need, it's just nice inside. We also got there at a time when Portugal had a power and communications blackout - so the hostess and her family showed incredible care - and brought candles, and lit the barbecue and offered food - well, we've never had such a cool "apocalypse"! I definitely recommend it!

Ines is a wonderful person and excellent communicator that responds quickly. She met us upon arrival to show us around and was so thoughtful to leave us fresh fruit and snacks. She also has a vast knowledge of local places to visit, the Portuguese culture, driving tips, restaurants and more. The home was perfect for the 3 of us. Neighborhood is very safe and quiet. The home is cozy with a working fireplace, a back yard to bask in the sun, great WiFi, and heaters for comfort as needed. Numerous restaurants, local convenience shops, cafes and a cool mall (Vida Ovar) within 10 to 20 min driving. Definitely recommend having a car to explore. I highly recommend her home for a wonderful visit.

Our stay was amazing. We went to Grijó for a wedding and the location couldn't be more perfect. Emília was an amazing host, super available, attentive and of a giant sympathy! The house, besides the excellent cleaning, is very welcoming and is equipped with everything we need and something else :) all the corners were thought to detail with a lot of love and affection, both inside and outside that is also very pleasant ! And it's impossible not to feel the good energy ❤️ We sincerely thank you for your attention and look forward to coming back!

We had a lovely week at the house and the surrounding nature. The house was beautifully located, well equipped and clean! Although we had very rainy weather during our stay, we still enjoyed beautiful hikes and the house offered a cosy refuge for us. I so enjoyed my stay in this stunning stone house built by the host's direct relatives! I was truly charmed by the soft tinkling of goats' bells in the pasture, the adorable village dog known and loved by all, a private porch, a crackling fire on a chilly night. This village and it's people are really special, experimenting with organic farming and regularly offering multi-generational events. I was even invited to a village party that included impromptu music, singing and dancing. Self-taught musicians played accordians, guitars and ukuleles while their neighbors & relatives danced. If I moved to Portugal (I wish I could!) I would want to vacation here for a month every year. It's a perfect spot for a writer's retreat, quiet reflection or uninterrupted time together as a couple. The kitchen is a fully functional kitchen, with all the pots, pans, implements and appliances you could possibly need to prepare and serve a meal for 10 (even an immersion blender!)

Great location and loved the close access to the beach, bars and parking though a little tight in driveway. Place was was well stocked with everything including spices, oil and vinegar as well as a barbecue. Sunsets on beach were awesome. The deck was great and well used. The washing machine and dryer were great. We would stay there again for sure.

If you would like to stop near Aveiro and if you are looking for tranquility with a great view, don't hesitate to stop at Margarida's. Even if you don't know her, you'll find in her a sister, a friend with the feeling of having known her forever. Warm welcomes and attentions as we have rarely seen. The house is great, very spacious, well arranged to accommodate up to 6 people with a very large seating area. The exteriors are just as well thought out with the barbecue, the small pool and the jacuzzi. We'll be back in the summer to test it all out. Thanks again to Margarida for her warm welcome and her extreme dedication to satisfying us. At Margarida's, you feel like you're part of the family. The small orchids in the bedrooms were well appreciated. Very nice place for a relaxing holiday.

The home is a great place to just get away from it all and relax. The grounds are peaceful with lots of fruit trees. If you like nature you will love it.

We had an amazing time at Casa das Santiagas. The house is very spacious and all facilities are available. Whether it is playing football on the football pitch or chilling at the pool, all can be done. It really is a great house for groups. The host is very friendly and proactive in his communication. Would definitely recommend! Next to that, the location itself is very quiet and beautiful but still in close proximity to all kinds of activities (including the city of Porto)

We really liked Sara's apartment, it's new and modern. We loved the decor and comfort. It has everything to spend a few days there. Check-in is flexible and independent. Sara was friendly and helpful. Although we do not travel with our pet they accept them, a point in favor. I would definitely repeat.

Staying at Casa do Calhau is like being in my own house but outside of it. The house is girissima, very well furnished,super clean, with a very pleasant outdoor space (great for relaxing) in a very calm and perissimo area of the river beach of Vimioso. Mr.Bruno was very friendly and helpful. We will return whenever possible.😊

The only adversity was related to check-in. Mr. Lobo, host, was not present. Tirando this contrariety everything was perfect. The house is in a private place which guarantees a calm and quiet atmosphere. It was clean and is well equipped. It's perfect for a family vacation.

One of the best accommodations we've ever stayed in! Warm welcome from Mr. Sérgio, an excellent host, who generously offered us some local delicacies. The house was extremely clean and had a pleasant aroma. The garden is beautiful with a wonderful view. There are several resting spots, such as a swimming pool to cool off, spaces with plants that attract a lot of birds, and a barbecue area. The care and attention to small details both inside and outside the house is noted. It is the ideal place to disconnect from the noise of the city and reconnect with nature. Definitely, if I return to Sever do Vouga, it is at Quinta das Fontanheiras that I will stay, I highly recommend it!

This is the second time we visit this paradise! it's so beautiful there, the lake in front of the house, the forest behind the house. So much peace there. If you need some time to relax or enjoy peaceful moments with your family or friends, this is the place for you!

Comfortable and nice house for a large family or a group of friends. There was a lot of dishes, the kitchen is very comfortable. There were a lot of interesting things in the garage, such as saps, on which we sailed on the river. Nice dining area outside. The host is hospitable and always in touch. Everything is great!
