Cottage vacation rentals in Avallon

We were a family of six that had just arrived at CDG Airport from both US coasts. We were tired and jet lagged. We got to Catherine's house and felt immediately at home and comfortable. It was a PERFECT landing and resting spot for tired travelers. It is so charming. the layout really worked for us. The surrounding area made for a peaceful walk in the nearby forest. The house met our needs in every possible way!

Our stay at Andrew and Marielle's was lovely. They very kindly welcomed us and gave us directions to things to do and see in the area, cafes, swimming and more. The accommodation is simple and comfortable, and the garden is very pleasant.

spacious, functional and quiet, it is only the hot tub that does not work too much, it's a shame because we had booked here for this criteria.. The owner was sorry which allows us to accept better and leave 5 stars because otherwise everything is fine.

The accommodation is ideal for a family of 4 to 5 people, easy to access thanks to a key box. The kitchen and bathroom are very well equipped, all appliances and utensils are available, as well as paper towels, toilet paper, bath towels, bathrobes... there is even a small first aid kit with bandages, disinfectant, etc. there is also coffee, tea, powdered chocolate, water, milk… Bernadette thought of everything! The spa is a real plus, nothing better after a long 5-hour drive! I highly recommend this place and I will definitely come back for my next stay in Burgundy.

A typical and charming little house as we imagined it. Everything was perfect and friendly with good quality bedding... Caroline had planned everything for our arrival with a delicate touch on her part. We couldn't enjoy the garden, which seems bucolic, the weather not being suitable. We'll definitely be back to discover this beautiful region 😍

Very nice New Year's Eve in the warm atmosphere of this house, including its large living/dining room and pleasant Lights. Frame/decor: ++ Cleanliness: ++ Amenities: ++ Bedding: + Notas: - Slightly noisy heat pump for one of the double bedrooms on the ground floor (winter) - Long fixed bench for one side of the long living room table: for agile guests. The other side of the table has chairs.

We had a great weekend in Bruno and Laurence's beautiful home. We were warmly welcomed by our hosts who were always available and very responsive. In addition, we were able to enjoy the beautiful gardens and the shaded terrace, as well as the fruits and vegetables to be enjoyed directly on site. Our dog also really enjoyed the place. We'll definitely be back.

We had a lovely stay at Florence's. The cottage is very well suited for a family. Swimming in the nearby lake, walking from the cottage, the trail in the forest by the lake is really nice when it's hot. We took advantage of the outside of the cottage, very well equipped for the children to play and to eat outside/barbecue. Very comfortable bedding. Lots of board games and children's books. We didn't miss anything!

We had a wedding nearby and this cottage was very well located for that. Pleasant, typical, it was what we needed. Thank you for agreeing to let us leave the cottage earlier and letting us leave later 😌 Finally, thank you for the very nice little jar of honey.

Large accommodation in an old house full of charm. Functional. Excellent new bedding. Possibility of using the outdoors. Parking in the enclosed courtyard. We recommend it unreservedly.

I had an exceptional stay at this beautiful house! The place is spacious, bright and tastefully decorated. Everything was perfectly clean when I arrived and I really appreciated the little touches left by the hosts. The village is quiet and pleasant, ideal for relaxing. I highly recommend this place and I will gladly come back during my next visit to the region

We had a wonderful family weekend in this beautiful accommodation, very clean and peaceful (the neighborhood is also very friendly). The house is well-equipped, and nicely decorated, suitable for large families. The garden is large and pleasant for lunch in the sun, and the interior also with its 2 living rooms for rainy weather. We particularly enjoyed the proximity to the lake, for swimming and running around Only regret: not renting it for one more night A big thank you to the host who did everything to make this stay go smoothly (very responsive, accommodating for checkout, and spontaneously shared their good addresses & little madeleines) - these are the touches that make the difference

Very functional house, with charm, and access to the garden which is very nice. The countryside around is pretty. Beautiful bike rides possible on the nearby Burgundy Canal.

Maurice is very welcoming and very friendly. The accommodation is clean, well-equipped and very spacious. The terrace is lovely. Maurice responded to our various requests responsively. We'll be happy to go back.

The host met us in person and attended to our needs. The nearby town and boulangerie is a walking distance. Spent a wonderful evening in the outside garden drinking champagne from a nearby Domaine Dosnon.

Lovely place - very comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful gardens and places to relax. Yves and Christine are always available to help if needed but also respect guest privacy. Great bike rides in the area and Clamecy is a sweet town; also recommend Dijon and Auxerre for visiting.
