The place is very private, we have 2 pools to ourselves. We have the freedom to do what we want to do, no restrictions. Ms. Catherine is very responsive and she is like a genie, she grants all our requests from bingo cards to fresh coconut juice. All in all, Ms. Catherine is a wonderful host. Highly recommended.

Jessal’s place is really nice and peaceful. I am recommending this place when seeking for a more quiet, and relaxing stay in Baler.

Jessal was very responsive and easy to communicate with. I was so sad, I thought we were not able to push through our visit due to the aftermath of the typhoon Pepito around the area and we have to cancel our booking. Glad that 2 days before our supposed stay, their electricity power was back! It feels like meant to be. Jessal also grant us a complimentary upgrade of our room and we were so thankful. Their staff is very helpful and polite, the ambiance/location of the place was so serene and peaceful. I would recommend this to my friends and family, and we will surely be back!

This place is a gem! If you're looking for a calming and comforting place to enjoy Baler, I recommend booking a room at Kahanamoku. The staff are nice and approachable. It felt so easy to ask for things you need since they are always present during the day. There's also someone assigned at nighttime to make sure all guests are safe, which I appreciate the most. Complimentary breakfast is also nice and a great idea to make the guests feel very taken care of. The bathroom is clean, and cozy bed/linens. I'll be booking the same place again the next time I visit Baler! Kudos to the owners :)

Highly recommended bed & breakfast in Baler, glad to discover this peaceful and relaxing place. Spacious suite, with very accommodating staffs. Plus, we really enjoyed their Vegan breakfast. Superb! Worth every penny!

We had a great weekend here at Balai by Dogtown! It was our first time in Baler, Aurora and Mario's lodge made us feel at home. Clean room, clean comfort room, friendly staff and the place is soooooooo great! Walking distance to the beach, great food around the area, and friendly surfing teachers! It indeed exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Balai by Dogtown for allowing us in your humble home! We will surely come back. 🌊🫶

Stayed here with my cousins for a quick trip and had a wonderfully relaxing time. The place is surrounded by trees, adorable dogs, and accommodating people.

Had such a wonderful stay at Balai by Dogtown Baler! The laid-back, homey vibe made it the perfect escape. The place is thoughtfully designed, cozy rooms, chill common areas, and just steps from Sabang Beach. Great for both surfers and those just looking to unwind. Mario and Toni were amazing hosts — super warm, helpful, and always ready with local tips or good convo. Their hospitality really made it feel like home. It’s also work-from-home friendly with stable Wi-Fi and peaceful spots to get things done between beach breaks. The pet-friendly, community vibe is a huge plus. More than just a stay, it’s a place you’ll want to return to. Highly recommend!

Had a good stay at Balai :) I love the open design of the place. There was a pretty hut for home service massages and a co-working space where you can also lounge in. They allowed us to have our home-service massage in our room too and even accommodated us with extra towels and change in bedsheets. Our bathroom had a working water heater. And as nightshift workers, we appreciated how our room isn’t directly in the sun’s direction. Overall, we loved the ambiance and energy of Balai. I feel like this actually had an impact in our first experience of Baler.
