Cottage measures 12' x 24' (total of 288sq. feet). Very relaxed environment. Flat rate of $50.00. UPDATE: Deck is now enclosed with old window panes. Super cozy. Has a sink with hot/old water, a hot plate, large toaster oven, and utensils. I am am still putting finishing touches on it, but available for use. Pictures soon.

For peace and quiet in a beautiful location, this is your spot. Great accommodations within an easy drive of Sparta and West Jefferson for small town attractions with genuinely nice people. Recommend bringing fishing rod for the pond and binoculars for wildlife sightings. Use Google maps instead of Waze for the address for ease of initial arrival. We’ll definitely be repeat guests!

We chose this place because it was equal distance from a diaspora of old friends, and it had the needed number of bedrooms. We could not have chosen a better place! There was plenty of room for six adults, two toddlers, and an infant. The house was clean, spacious, and more than suitable for group cooking, dining, and child playtime. Julie was so responsive, and she did an amazing job getting that driveway plowed for us when it snowed before check in. We cannot thank Julie enough, and we hope to spend many more future friend trips at Arrowhead Farm!

The Farmhouse Suite

Where to begin with our lovely stay!?The suite is quite “upscale”. Fancy bidet toilet with seat warmer. The shower…OMG..so therapeutic with all the different settings and what seemed like endless hot water. The king bed was comfortable. Complete control over HVAC was fabulous! We were able to keep the temp exactly how we like it. The small town was charming, just like Michael and Mary the owners. Was great meeting them in the upstairs gallery and speaking with them at a local event. Nothing was spared with the amenities and features to ensure we had everything we needed to make our stay spectacular! They are very lovely people! Cannot wait to return to the Suite again in the future. I cannot recommend the Suite highly enough. Be sure to eat at The Happy Goat, The Well, Bee Noodled, and the Back of The Dragon HQ (pizza, beer). All of these are within a few blocks with BOTD being the furthest away at about .6 mile easy walk. There’s a convenience store near BOTD. Great location!!

Perfect place to disconnect. The drive in can be a little rough with gravel roads, but it's fine with the right car. The views are stunning and it is so quiet with the occasional Moooooo from the pastures. The house is well stocked with old school toys and board games, my toddler loved the BoomBox and the walks through the hillside to find cows

Melissa's home was just as described. Peaceful, clean, quiet (except for mooing cows on occasion, but not an issue). Easy to locate. Comfortable beds. Driveway is on the steep side, which was disclosed in the listing, but not that bad. We had two vehicles, Camry and Rav 4, and had no trouble with either. Marion is relatively close and had some good restaurants. Highly recommend Sisters Cafe for breakfast and/or lunch. Macados and Moon Dog also very good. Husbands were hiking on the Appalachian Trail which was not too far to access. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked to return to Melissa's home next month for some more hiking on the AT.

I had an amazing stay ! The home was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I felt right at home and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy and clean place to stay! Such a peaceful stay . The setting was incredibly beautiful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Burkes Garden was beautiful, and I loved sipping my morning coffee on the porch. Great place for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy your time away from home and relax. The house and decorations was absolutely beautiful and well equipped with everything you need while being away from home. Me and my family had the absolute best time while looking for a place to accommodate me and my big family this was the perfect place. We will definitely be back!!!
