Welcome to Gite Des Roses, set within a 300 year old farmhouse surrounded by the Normandy countryside. Myself, my husband, our dog, cat and 5 free range chickens love it here. Clécy, the capital of Suisse-Normande, offers outdoor activities (climbing, paragliding, summer tobogganing, canoeing/kayaking/paddle boarding, hiking, abseiling, via ferrata, electric scooter...). Above the scenic Varenne river valley, this 300-year-old stone cottage has spectacular views of the chateau above and the ancient Notre Dame church below. Complete with a private meadow garden, we are just a 5 minute walk into the medieval city of Domfront with its cafes, bars, restaurants and many a boulangerie. Rich with history, beautiful flowers and breathtaking views of the sweeping woodland valley, it is a timelessly beautiful landscape.

A quiet individual home

This stylish place to stay is perfect for couples. It is close to the city center on foot, close to the lake on foot 1.3 km close to shops, close to the Bagnole de l'Orne terminal cure 7 km. Quiet accommodation, very well insulated, on the ground floor, small terrace lined with rose bushes. Minimum bed linen is provided: pillowcases, fitted sheet and mattress. If you wish, missing bed and bath linen for 15 euros.

Our farmhouse and buildings are classed as a 'remarkable site' in official documents. . We have apple trees, sheep, and chickens that wander freely. We are within an easy drive of Caen and the landing beaches and other beautiful places like Mt Saint Michel and Honfleur. We also have a games room.
