Stunning views across the Auxois countryside from both house and garden. Very comfortable double bedroom with private entrance & ensuite bathroom in a sleepy hamlet. The heated garden kitchen can be enjoyed year round providing simple cooking facilities, dining table and armchairs. There is an area for alfresco meals, a small herb garden & deck chairs to enjoy the spectacular views; off road parking. The owners, Bill and Jenny Higgs live next door - very discreet but always on hand to help.

Une petite maison d'architecte chaleureuse en bois pour deux personnes. Elle se trouve dans un verger au milieu des arbres fruitiers . Située sur une butte, c'est un balcon sur la campagne bourguignonne, dans le Tonnerrois à proximité de Chablis et aux portes de la Champagne. La maison est totalement indépendante, avec son jardin privatif. J’habite à côté, je suis très disponible pour des conseils, des suggestions ou autre. Un ciel souvent fabuleux pour les amateurs d’astronomie.

Beautiful ‘gite’ next to the owner’s home. The pictures reflected the actual property so no unpleasant surprises! The owners were private and accessible when needed. The location of the home is very quiet in a small village so great for disconnecting, walking or biking and close to champgne and cremant houses! Would recommend - ideally for a family with small children or a couple as it’s less designed for 4 adults.

Very nice stay in this pretty house in a very peaceful environment and in addition we had the chance of amazing weather to enjoy the outdoor courtyard and barbecue. The house is perfectly equipped and very nice. Marie was a warm and caring host.

A very friendly stop on the way back from vacation. Well-equipped house, peaceful place with riverside walking path in the immediate vicinity of the house. Warm welcome from Jean Paul who was kind enough to accept our last-minute booking! We recommend! Ideal for disconnecting: there is no network coverage! But the wifi works very well!

Isabelle's accommodation is a real gem, a journey through time. The decoration is very sought after, the furniture elegant. The apartment is independent and absolutely quiet. Tanlay is a pretty village, castle and local shops are within walking distance. Thanks to Isabelle for the quality of her welcome, her kindness and the flexibility of her schedule to welcome us.

Stone house by the canal and river

We had a pleasant stay at Anne's. The cottage was perfectly as advertised, clean and in a good location. Anne welcomed us warmly and took the time to recommend several sites to discover in the area. Bicycles were available, which allowed us to enjoy a beautiful ride along the Burgundy Canal, accessible only 50 meters from the accommodation. The latter enjoys an ideal location, about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Beaune and 45 minutes from Auxerre, Chablis and other points of interest.

Everything is thought of in the smallest detail: the color schemes, the comfort of the bed, the smell of the shower gel, the attentions on arrival (delicious jam, perfectly stocked kitchen, flowers in the entrance, etc.) and the garden area allowing you to enjoy the flowering roses. Magical!
