Visit the ruins of Clifden Castle or enjoy one of the many local walking routes such as the Clifden greenway, the Beach Road walk, or the Derrigimlagh Looped walk at the Wild Atlantic Way discovery point, to name but a few. You are just a short drive from lots of beautiful sandy beaches such as Omey Beach near Claddaghduff, the Coral Strand at Ballyconneely, or Gurteen & Dogs Bay beaches at Roundstone. The sitting room area with comfortable couches, free to air TV and a large balcony completes the lower space. The ground floor level encompasses a parlour style seating area with open fire to the front, with views on to Market Street. There is a bathroom with WC, sink and shower and utility cupboard with washing machine and dryer. To the rear is the main sitting room, it too with its own decked area looking out over Clifden Harbour.The first floor has a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. This room is beautifully furnished and offers multi-channel TV. The top floor offers a very large bedroom with two double beds, sea views and multi-channel TV. On-street parking is available and parking charges apply at certain times of the day. A free public car park or free street parking is available a short distance away from the property. Clifden, The Barn on the Wild Atlantic Way.

The Barn is a unique old stone barn but modern, with an open plan sitting/kitchen/ eating area with cathedral ceiling and a long narrow window overlooking the Salt Lake to one side, a small window looking down to the sea on the other. There are two bedrooms and a wet room style bathroom (no bathtub) but plenty of hot water and underfloor heating. It is wonderfully quiet, a real retreat for those who just want to escape.
