The apartment itself is in the basement of an old Stickerhaus, that is an embroiderer house where once the famous embroidery of the region have been manufactured. We guarantee leisurely days in an unconventional place.

The accommodation is on the Appenzellerstrasse, which leads from Gais to Appenzell. The house is bright, offers plenty of space for 3-4 people on the ground floor and 1st floor. It is a patrician house, ceilings are higher (2.20 m) than typical. Appenzeller houses. The kitchen is fully equipped. 2 high chairs for children/baby bed available. Dogs welcome. Hiking trails start as soon as you cross the street. Important: A listing is also placed separately on Airbnb to rent the entire house (8 people).

Please note: From the parking lot, you can walk relatively steeply up the hill to the beautifully located bungalow on the edge of the forest for about 100 m.

In Haus Steg in Steinegg, 2 minutes by car from the main town of Appenzell, we rent a homely vacation apartment for up to 5 people. 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds and one single bed each, living room with TV; kitchen, microwave and coffee machine; raclette and fondue dishes available; bathroom with shower and WC; free Wifi, free parking, bed linen, towels and tea towels are included in the price.
