It is about a 15-minute walk from the downtown area and close to the bus stop, so it has excellent access to various tourist destinations. During the Nebuta Festival, there is also Haneto costume rental and dressing (for a fee), so you can fully enjoy the Nebuta festival. In the winter, there is also a bus from the nearest bus stop to Mt. Hakkoda, which is recommended for those who want to enjoy skiing and snowboarding. We had a wonderful time at Akira-san 's home. The house is spacious with beautiful surroundings. The room is clean and comfy. We felt right at home. Akira-san and his wife are hospitable and very friendly people. They gave us a lot of recommendations for sightseeing before our trip.

For the price I paid, I really enjoyed my stay here, and I absolutely recommen it to anyone who is looking for an overnight place in Hirosaki! Very good location, close to downtown and just 10minute walk away from the park! It was clean, and had a nice cafe at the first floor! 10/10🌟🌟🌟

This is an amazing place. We’ve been traveling around Japan for over four weeks and have visited many places, but this stay has been the most wonderful so far. A cozy spot in a traditional Japanese style, a restaurant with delicious gyoza, and excellent communication with the host – I wholeheartedly recommend it. You definitely won’t be disappointed.

I had a good time with my energetic dad and mother. The food was delicious and very satisfying, and I was absolutely right to ask for dinner. It was nice to go to the hot spring at night and in the morning, and to spend time in the attic space was reminiscent of the fun as a training camp when I was children, and I was able to experience the extraordinary experience in a calm place. Thank you for a wonderful time.

The Tanehachi family’s welcome extends much further than that of a guest, but practically as if you yourself are family member. Everything they cooked for us was nothing less than delicious and we still think about if we’ll ever be able to enjoy food that good again. Taku-san was even kind enough to drop us off at the city after we enjoyed the mornings on the farm, and us up from the station to bring us back. His children were lovely and he and his wife spoke excellent English! We enjoyed every moment of this stay and even get a little sad thinking about how we wish we stayed longer! They truly only deserve the best of guests so please be on excellent behavior while staying here. We appreciate you all so much and will hopefully return in the future!

We had a very pleasant stay with Mr. Kudo, an extremely helpful and friendly older gentleman. The apartment is cute, authentic and decorated with lots of charm – ideal for those who appreciate the original. There is no internet, but this also contributes to the quiet, slow atmosphere. Clear recommendation.
