Darseen chalets @Sunset 17 17 ashab pebble beach

PaulaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My only regret? Not booking for longer. This place was an absolute gem. Saif sent a Google maps link prior to our arrival which was really helpful as I don’t think we could have done it without that link. The chalet overlooks the motorway and out to the sea. Don’t be put off by that road, it’s so very quiet, 3-4 cars a minute in the evening, and the view from the terrace upstairs grabs all the attention anyway! The place is exactly as it looks on the pictures, spotless and well maintained but the real gem, the real star of the show is Sarath. Sarath is the most friendly, kind and helpful man I have met in a long time, nothing was too much trouble. He seems to appear just when you think you might have a question, otherwise, you don’t see him. I wasn’t sure about how I felt having someone so close by -he lives on site- but it’s really not intrusive at all. He also provided a super breakfast before we left.
A serene beachfront scene captures gentle waves lapping against the sandy shore. The horizon displays a soft gradient of colors as the sun sets, while a distant vessel is visible on the tranquil waters, enhancing the coastal ambiance.

We had a wonderful stay at this traditional Omani home right on the beach. The host Nasser is very kind and helpful. As he was available at the home when we visited, he took us to Wadi Tiwi. The kitchen is fully equipped and the host got us bread and cheese which was so helpful for the morning next day.
A serene desert landscape is captured during golden hour, featuring elegant tents set against rolling sand dunes. The soft evening light highlights the natural contours of the dunes, while the tents' white fabric gently contrasts with the warm tones of the surrounding environment.

Desert waves camp

This is the best desert Camp in this desert - just like Glamping. Located very qiet and far enough away from the other camps. Easy to find. Don't be afraid about driving in the sand - it's easier than we thought. Abdulaziz and his father created such a beautiful place with 6 private spacy tents each with an own bathroom. We pre-booked a camel ride into the sunset...you cannot imagine something more romantic. Dinner was really the best we had so far in the Oman...most delicous and prepared with love. The night was so quiet that we slept like in Abrahams arms. The sunrise in the morning and the wonderful breakfast with fresh fruits, pancakes, Omelett, baked beans with vegetables, yoghurt etc. Was the perfect final of our stay. We highly recommend this desert camp...every OMR is worth it and you will love the place and the host.
A vast expanse of desert landscape is displayed under a bright blue sky, dotted with fluffy white clouds. The scene features several tents nestled against gently rising sand dunes, with sparse vegetation adding a touch of greenery to the arid surroundings.

The best place to stay while visiting Wahiba desert! It exceeded all our expectations. The staff are super attentive, always making sure that all your needs are met. The room itself was fantastic, it was even better in real life then in the pictures. The pool was clean and so refreshing during the hot summer days. We also went on an ATV trip which was great. Getting to the location was easy, as we received a free escort in to the camp - but without an escort it also would be easy to navigate, as the hotel provided us with instructions on which app/map to use. The atmosphere in the hotel was amazing, from the entrance with the old traditional wooden doors to the restaurant decorated with lovely ceramics and textiles. The place is simply beautiful. A special thanks for giving us extra attention on our honeymoon.

What a beautiful property and was exactly what was promised to us with the videos and the pictures. Brother Arif the host was personally welcoming and also provided us some great welcome drinks and sweets. The caretaker Shareef was also par excellence and very responsive and helpful. 100 recommended if you are looking for a peaceful family getaway with kids
A traditional Bedouin tent camp is situated in a vast desert landscape, surrounded by rolling sand dunes. The sky transitions from warm oranges to soft blues as the sun sets, creating a serene backdrop for the camp, which is partially illuminated by string lights.

Desert camp in Bidiyah

Mohammed’s camp is perfect to stay a night or more in the desert. You will find everything you need to enjoy a night under the stars. Mohammed’s brother (who was our interlocutor on the spot) was very kind and helpful: he came to pickup us and showed us the road until the camp. The day after, he led us to a spot to ride camels as we asked him where we could find a location. I strongly recommend this host for its hospitality and availability. Do not hesitate!!

Fins Villas 2, a breathtaking beach view villa!

Great villa! Very spacious and well equipped. Everything was clean. The concierge is very kind and attentive. Only small downside: the hot water only lasted 5 minutes. Maybe a mistake on our part… In any case, I recommend it 100%
An A-frame structure with a striking triangular design is shown, featuring large glass panels reflecting the desert landscape. Steps lead up to a wooden deck where a small bistro table and two chairs await. The soft glow from integrated lighting enhances the architectural lines.

Had a great time - the Airbnb is accessible without a 4WD if you let some air out of your tires. The Host will show you the way and help you out in preparing your car for the drive in the sand. We were welcomed with a tea and and a snack at the location and had a great time at the Airbnb itself. You can book activities, such as a 4WD Sunset Tour or drive around with some quads. Very fun and great for exploring the desert! You can also book dinner or breakfast if you like and enjoy some local food.
