[An old house built 120 years ago] Iwasaki, with its vegetation, is located along the Minase River and was a key transportation hub during the era of river boat transportation.There were four breweries in the Meiji era, and they brewed sake that was so good it was dedicated to the Meiji era. This building is a renovated Takahashi family home that was used by the owner of one of the breweries, Mineno Asahi.

We accept reservations for 2 or more people. Seizekan, a farmer's inn, is located in the mountains about 25 minutes by car from Kakunodate, Akita Prefecture, and a 15-minute walk from Hachimangu Naganodairu Station on the Akita Inland Railway. Surrounded by rice fields, it is a quiet and natural environment. We renovated the second floor of a farm work shed that used to be a cowshed, and created an accommodation space with a kitchen, bath, and toilet. This space is for one group of guests per day. Some people say, "It's like returning to my parents' house." In the summer, we recommend that you spend a leisurely time feeling the breeze, and in the winter, we recommend that you lie back and listen to the sound of the boiling water in the hot water heater while facing the firewood stove. Please feel free to look into the vinyl greenhouse or go out to the hot springs.

It opened in November 2018. It is a quiet residential neighborhood, so you can spend a relaxing time. Convenience stores, supermarkets, famous restaurants, etc. are within walking distance. It is easily accessible, 30 minutes by car from Akita Airport, 10 minutes from JR Akita Station, 10 minutes from Akita Kokita Interchange, and 5 minutes on foot from JR Izawa Asahikawa at the new station. It is ideal as a base for sightseeing in Akita, as it is about an hour to major tourist destinations in the prefecture, such as Oshamanbe Peninsula and Lake Tazawa. If you are coming by public transportation, we can also provide free transportation to Akita station, etc., so please consult us in advance. We also provide a simple breakfast (bread, jam, coffee, fruit juice, etc.). Please feel free to use it.

Bonshuku U, a renovated 180-year-old merchant house, "Old Shibayoke". We have renovated two "Uriso" buildings, unique to southern Akita Prefecture, one of Japan's leading heavy snow areas, connecting the main house and the storehouse with a large roof so that you can come and go even during the winter snowfall. This room features a special display of "indigo dyed yukata", a unisex dance costume made by hand using traditional dyeing techniques from southern Akita prefecture. On the first floor, there is a dining room with a mini-kitchen and a bathroom, and on the second floor, overlooking the dynamic beams, there is an indigo-dyed yukata and a record player, so you can experience the history that has been carved with Bon Odori.

This house was renovated from the former residence of the president of a company specializing in Akita's traditional craft of kaba-zaiku (crafts made from cherry bark), transforming it into a whole-house rental accommodation.
