Idyllic Storvik is a small village at the end of Nordland coast in the middle of Saltstraumen and Svartisen. The surroundings are oceans, mountains, sandy beach and fishing waters. Here you can stay in the old grend school that we in our family have converted into a modern apartment. There are several marked hiking trails in the area. They range from very light, to more advanced trips for real "mountain goats". If you would rather relax on the beach and enjoy nature in the distance it is fully possible from the 1.5 km long sandy beach.

At Stia you can stay in scenic and tranquil surroundings with views of the fjord and mountains. Here you can enjoy silence under the starry sky and northern lights, or simply have lazy days on the beach "Stia" located just below the cottage. You can also enjoy the hot tub in summer as well as winter. If you want speed and excitement, there are many possibilities: Alpine hiking in Glomfjord, walking on Svartisen, skiing in the Meløy Alps, island hopping along the Helgeland coast and more. Nice cabin (60 m2 + loft) for rent on a weekly basis. The cottage is located close to tourist information on Holand, and only 1 km from the crossing to Svartisen. Bedroom 1: double bed, Bedroom 2: two single beds Loft w/ 3 sleeping places. Bathroom w/ washing machine, shower, toilet. Open living room/kitchen w/ stove, fridge, dining table, sofa group, wireless internet and TV (Canal digital). Terrace with seating area, great view and barbecue. Short distance to great hiking opportunities in the area.

Cozy cabin surrounded by stunning nature

A perfect place for anyone who loves exploring the Norwegian nature, or simply wants to look at it while lounging on the couch. The river that runs right beside the cabin is perfect for canoeing. And you can regularly see birds, moose, and other wildlife by the river. There are also good hiking areas, ski tracks, and snowmobile trails. The cabin is located in Herringen, 18km outside the city centre. We have all basic facilities, WiFi, TV, toilet, heated floors, dishwasher, & washing machine.

BOLGA, a remote IDYLL N of the ARCTIC CIRCLE

Bolga is a beautiful island on the Helgeland coast with approx 85 friendly inhabitants, a grocery store and a tavern. Exciting conditions for hiking, climbing, bouldering, kayaking, diving, seakiting, fishing and foraging. The cottage is situated in the south-west corner, 2 km easy walking from the harbour. Daily connection with the mainland by ferry or local boat to/from Ørnes and express boat to/from Bodø/Sandnessjøen. You may observe the amazing Northern Light from September.

Svartisen Northern light

Welcome to Svartisen Northern light. The cabin is located by the seaside and has a private dock. You can also find a telescope inside the cabin, and during the winter this is the place to observe the Northern lights when the sky is clear. The boat to Svartisen are approximately 400 m away from the cabin, so this is a perfect place to start glacier hiking. If you like fishing there is fishing gear available.

Vila Sandhornet Guesthouse

Sigurdbrygga -Seahouse with view to eagles

Restored and charming seahouse from 1965. Brightly decorated house of 35 m2, with 2 small bedrooms on the loft. Living room has a dining area and a reading area. Sofabed for extra guests. Modern kitchen with dishwasher, fridge / freezer, and bathroom with toilet and shower. Outside area with garden furniture and campfire pan. Yacuzzi can be rented for an extra fee on 600,- for a weekend or 800,- by the week.
