Great place. Cozy and peaceful. The perfect size to fit a group of 6.

We are in awe with how amazing this place is. The river is a joyous sight to enjoy, the house is comfy, the hosts welcoming, and the drive up was full of grand views. There are trails, games indoors and outdoors, the best stocked kitchen I've ever seen from an Air B&B, and an amazingly relaxing softtub. Wanda and Greg were immediately inviting and let us know in advance what to expect on how to get there and the fun things to do while at Valhalla and in Mattawan. If I could recommend anything to someone coming here it would be to bring a good pair of waterproof shoes and a day pack to explore the mountain paths. They were a great treat and we would walk them again in a heartbeat. There are so many things to rave about at this cozy home I can't list them all here but we will be happy to return and enjoy even more of what Valhalla has to offer.

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming lakeside cottage! From the moment we arrived, our hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome — they were incredibly kind, responsive, and full of thoughtful touches that made the experience feel extra special. The cottage itself is beautifully maintained, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. But the real showstopper is the location — the views of the lake are absolutely breathtaking. Whether enjoying a quiet morning coffee on the dock or watching the sunset reflect off the water in the evening, every moment felt serene and magical. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by natural beauty and hosted by genuinely lovely people, this is the place. We can’t wait to come back!

Granite Lake Chalet was a beautiful spot for our family vacation. Host Pat was friendly and responsive, and her husband even helped us catch the NBA finals on TV. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking for our party of 7. Bathrooms were clean with ample towels and toiletries. The upstairs primary suite was roomy, with a large closet our 9-year-old used as a sleeping nook. The queen bedroom downstairs bedroom was tight due to bulky furniture; the 2nd bedroom with the bunk and double was much smaller than expected and would be much better suited for just kids. The screened-in patio was a cozy highlight, with lights, blankets, and candles for bug-free lounging. We also loved “Em’s Hideaway,” a quiet reading nook. Sturdy steps led to a magical, well-lit dock—best we’ve seen in Ontario. Great for fishing and relaxing. We launched our boat nearby, though the steep dirt ramp may require 4WD if it’s muddy. Caught mostly smallmouth bass and a couple pike. A great stay overall!

This cabin was an absolute dream for our mothers' first visit to Canada! We were looking for something special, and this place exceeded all expectations. The location was ideal – a perfect blend of natural beauty and proximity to the city. What truly amazed us was how much more beautiful it was in person compared to the already great photos. The serene lake view, the perfectly stocked kitchen, and the immaculate cleanliness all contributed to an unforgettable stay. You can feel the warmth and care in every detail. The hosts were also fantastic, with quick and kind communication. They even helped us retrieve keys we'd accidentally left behind! We can't wait to return and highly recommend this incredible retreat.

Nous avons passé un super week-end en famille. Le chalet était magnifique. La propreté, la décoration , les équipements à l ´intérieur comme à l’extérieur. Nous avons notamment beaucoup apprécié les équipements sportifs à l ´extérieur : canoë , pédalo.. l’hôte était très réactive. Nous n’avions plus de bouteille de gaz pour le barbecue et en moins de 10 min , quelqu’un est venu nous en apporter une . Très bel endroit, très reposant!!!

What a beautiful, cozy, and peaceful place! We absolutely loved our short stay at the farmhouse - comfortable, bright, full of inspiring art, and equipped with everything we needed for a wonderful stay, plus little touches that made it all the better, from soft blankets to wrap up in on the porch, to the cinnamon buns, croissants, and eggs from the farm's very own chickens. A peaceful atmosphere surrounded by woods and wildflowers, but just a few minutes from shops and restos in Wakefield, and a short drive from Ottawa-Gatineau. Also: bonus friendly farm cats that kept us company! Thanks so much for sharing your lovely place with us, we would love to come back.

The view of Lake Nipissing can’t be beat. Lisa is a wonderful host and the apartment is beautifully renovated and spotless! I highly recommend staying at this little gem

Absolutely beautiful location for a relaxing getaway. Quiet and serene sandy beach. Kayaks available as described and we thoroughly enjoyed taking in the views from the lake. Great place to take the opportunity to try out the SUP in the shallows of their sandy beach. Bev and Louise were welcoming and readily available to answer any questions. We truly appreciate our hosts for sharing their home to provide such a wonderful experience.

Where would I even begin? This was by far the best experience I’ve had. The unit exceeded expectations, it really did make you feel at home from the moment you walked in. It is honestly so nice, zero complaints. The host’s were absolutely amazing. They were so responsive to any need I had no matter how big or small, and made everything just so comfortable. I don’t think I’ll ever come across a group quite like them again. I would highly recommend this unit and any other unit listed under the host’s. They made being away from home and the struggles of daily life feel effortless. I am grateful for all they did and accommodated for me. As I said, best experience I’ve had by far.

We had a really nice and peaceful stay at Lynn’s. She kindly let us used some snowshoes which was a must to explore the snowy nearby trails. The sauna and jaccuzi were really appreciated to warm up after a day in the cold! Would like to come back in the summer or fall as it must be stunning as well!

Really great hosts! They responded quick every time and provided a lot for us. Very much a bring your clothes and you’re good to go situation! The hosts also respected privacy and we never felt uncomfortable being there. The hosts only came if we needed them too and always did when asked, usually within 20 minutes (like for water or propane refills). We also felt safe and secure in this house as we had our own unit and only we could access it. The view of the lake is beautiful and I’m definitely going to miss it! I would definitely recommend and I will be saving this air bnb for any future needs in north bay!:) they also provided all the streaming services which was really great for us during our visit! The outdoor lighting at night was a really nice touch. The place was cleaned really well and you could tell that the hosts truly care, with all the small things most hosts don’t think of or care to do! Thanks for a great stay!:)

This is our second stay at Mandy’s. Extremely comfortable bed and clean. No noise. Stocked kitchen. Quiet neighborhood. Mandy’s is very quick to respond.

Michel’s place was really beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. It had everything you need and more! We spent a week with our dog enjoying the perfect location and space. From hot tub to the pellet stove to the arcade game, this truly has everything you need to relax and enjoy. From pre check in to check out, Michel was an outstanding host who was always responsive and helpful. He is so kind and warm always willing to help if we needed anything at all. Truly a superb host! We really would love to come back someday.

I booked this cabin on Sesekinika Lake to give my parents—who are from Toronto—a taste of Northern life, and it truly delivered. From stargazing by the fire to waking up right on the water, it was a peaceful and beautiful experience they’ll never forget. The location was stunning, and everything was exactly as promised. A lovely stay all around!

Absolutely beautiful spot for a perfect cottage weekend. Mike is a fantastic host and I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and scenic fall season getaway.

A fabulous place - scenic views, a very new beautiful cottage fully supplied with everything you might need. The pictures were very accurate and really gave you a sense of the beauty of the place. The one thing to keep in mind is that there are only window coverings for two of the windows in the living room and no door between the living room and the bedroom so in the summer you will be woken up early. The place was very quiet, clean and peaceful and the perfect get away! The stairs and bike ramp were also perfect for getting onto the veloroute. The view from the balcony of the trees and lake are stunning and you really feel at one with nature watching birds flitting in the trees and hearing loon calls at night and seeing the occasional ground hog on the property.

We loved the cabin! Beautiful surroundings, super clean and stocked with everything you could think of ! We had a great stay, and loved the hot tub and the recommended hike !

I can't thank Tiffany and Pat enough for being amazing hosts and helping me through a difficult time. I stayed there on two separate occasions. The location of the house is right on the lake and sitting and watching the sun rise was beautiful. Narrows Convience Store is down the street and so is Mikisew Provinvial Park. The house has all the amenities (more than any other Airbnb I have stayed at). I would rats it more than 5 stars if I could. Thanks again so much!

This was our second stay at Kim and Scott's and we loved it again. Very private and peaceful cottage, right on the water. We brought out paddleboards and paddled the entire lake. Super cute place for two people.

Had an amazing weekend at The Boathouse! The views were amazing and The Boathouse was so cute and homey! My boyfriend and I spent an entire day on the late in a canoe and absolutely loved it. Cindy was very helpful and proactive, even allowing us to checkout a little later! We will definitely be back!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay, beautiful views all around with great trails to walk right off the cabin driveway. We even had some deer run past us on our hike. We enjoyed the cozy space in the cabin, exactly as expected with the accurate pictures Adam took. Adam gave us some recommendations of where to check out in the area, they were great suggestions. Highly recommend asking him for suggestions if you have anything specific you’d like to see. Overall it was an amazing stay, peaceful, beautiful views, cozy cabin, we would definitely go again in a few years.
